About this Presentation
This presentation will open by providing some context into the program and environment within which the CCPM/TOC methodologies have been applied within military aircraft maintenance in the UK. The process taken to transfer best practice from BAE Systems Australia into the Hawk UK program will then be covered, as well as briefly touching on the pilot approach followed to trial the efficacy of the CCPM approach in the UK. The presentation will then expand in detail on the subsequent ongoing full-scale implementation, benefits seen to date, barriers to implementation, and lessons learned. Topics covered as part of describing the full implementation include the assessment of existing program measures and policies and the behaviors they engendered, improvement of the definition of work content to minimize variation, critical chain scheduling and subsequent management of the execution of the plan, implementation of full kit methodologies, and application of TOC approaches to pipelining and continuous improvement. The presentation will also cover our many learnings on how to deploy CCPM effectively, how to establish a team, challenge cultural norms, and overcome perceived barriers to implementation.
