About this Presentation

Lukas Jochum shared insights from GPM's challenging journey with TOC and CCPM. After an initial failed implementation and abandoning the first software, GPM embraced TOC principles like Focus and Finish, which improved performance and portfolio transparency. The presentation explored how GPM aligned diverse member needs and managed conflicting interests to achieve better project management outcomes.

What Will You Learn

To help you get the most value from this session, we’ve highlighted a few key points. These takeaways capture the main ideas and practical insights from the presentation, making it easier for you to review, reflect, and apply what you’ve learned.

Plane
The initial implementation of TOC and CCPM principles in GPM faced resistance due to the multifaceted nature of the organization, lack of understanding of the benefits of the software, and a culture of delegating responsibilities instead of tasks.
Despite the initial resistance, the TOC and CCPM intervention acted as a catalyst for cultural change and led to an evolution in the perception of projects.
The organization was able to gradually implement TOC principles and practices, such as handling political pressure, publishing a monthly roadmap, assigning a fully employed project manager to every project, and increasing 'pizza and work' meetings.
